Arbroath Embroidered Tapestry Talk with Linda Walker, Andrew Crummy and Angus Ross
The Arbroath Tapestry is an intricate embroidered three-panel tapestry created by Angus embroidery and textile artists to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath and the history and heritage of Arbroath Abbey. The Arbroath Tapestry has been designed by Scottish artist Andrew Crummy, designer of the Great Tapestry of Scotland. Those involved with the project have carried out in-depth research on threads and stitches in order to create a piece which reflects the materials and style of the medieval tapestries which once decorated the walls of the Abbey.
In this special event, Linda Walker, lead stitcher, Andrew Crummy, designer of the Great tapestry for Scotland and Angus Ross designer craftsman will be in conversation about their creative collaboration and the journey to achieve this exquisite and intricate embroidered three-panel tapestry. Free tickets are limited, please reserve your place here
