Friday night is takeaway night at Hospitalfield. We run a different menu every week, with cuisines from around the world and home, and catering for all dietary requirements. Meals are for collection and we run a Covid safe pick-up system following Scottish Government Guidelines.
We are pleased to announce Hospitalfield’s commissions for 2021/22. Initiated through our Studio Time programme we will be working with artists Mick Peter, Jade Montserrat, Luke Pell, Hanna Tuulikki, Rehana Zaman and Sally Hackett.
Hospitalfield’s Future Plan will create ‘a campus’ around the artist Patrick Allan-Fraser’s 19th century building. Our aim is to invest in the extraordinary heritage at Hospitalfield and in a future that respects the original 19th century bequest; to support artists and education in the arts. We are committed to interpreting this bequest through a contemporary prism that is right for our times. Phase One will see us redevelop our gardens and open a new cafe and restored Victorian Fernery to the public in April 2021 when we look forward to welcoming visitors to Hospitalfield.”
This year has been most unusual for us all and Hospitalfield is no exception. Although we have hosted almost nobody in the house it feels that it has been a very busy and, in some ways, productive year. This newsletter gives an overview of the year and a few sparks of information for the coming year.
We are now accepting applications for the Interdisciplinary Residency Programme in 2021.
