Hosted by the University of Aberdeen, this one-day conference aims to bring together students, with emphasis on the discussion of interdisciplinary approaches to history. The conference will include a keynote address by Dr. Thomas Weber, who will discuss the challenges of academic publishing.
University of Aberdeen invite abstracts for 20-minute papers from masters or PhD students currently studying any topic of history at universities in the North East of Scotland. The organisers also welcome submissions from postgraduates in complementary arts and humanities disciplines, provided the research is historical in nature.
Attendance is open to all postgraduate students from participating universities at no charge. Those not presenting a paper are still encouraged to attend. Non-presenter tickets are limited, as a sit-down lunch, dinner, and refreshments will be provided. Hospitalfield also offers B&B accommodation to participants looking to add to the immersive experience of the conference.
Interested candidates should send abstracts of no more than 200 words and register accommodation interest to Jared Thomley (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 17:00 GMT on 12th January 2018.
