Friends of Hospitalfield Collections Visit: Susanna Beaumont

Friends of Hospitalfield are invited to visit Susanna Beaumont at her home to discuss her approach to collecting to see some of her collection highlights. This visit will be followed by a Friends of Hospitalfield Trip to Little Sparta, the garden of artist Ian Hamilton Finlay (1925 – 2006)

Susanna Beaumont is a curator and mentor. She has wide-reaching experience of working with artists and designers on site-specific projects, commissions and exhibitions in Scotland and beyond.

Between 2000 and 20101 Susanna ran Doggerfisher, a contemporary commercial gallery space in Edinburgh, as founder and Director.

Susanna is currently working on Design Exhibition Scotland (DES), a pioneering project that will champion functional design and making today in Scotland. Design Exhibition Scotland will showcase the work of over 20 designers and artists and will take place in Edinburgh in May 2018. DES is supported by Creative Scotland, the Inches Carr Trust and private donations.

Travel details: We will travel by minibus departing Hospitalfield at 9am and returning for 5.30pm approx.

Cost: £20 per person. The costs include entry and guided access to Little Sparta and a contribution to travel costs. Payment can either be made by cash or cheque on departure
