Hospitalfield’s Graduate Residency deadline approaches
The residency is for artists and designers who have graduated from Scottish undergrad and postgrad courses in 2016 and 2015.
The deadline for online applications to Hospitalfield’s Graduate Residency is midnight on Monday 4 July. It takes place over two weeks in October 2016 and will see 12 artists and designers come together to get to know each other, build new connections and have time to focus on developing their individual projects.
The selectors for this year’s residency are Kyla McDonald, the Artistic Director at Glasgow Sculpture Studios; Bobby Niven artist and creator of The Bothy Project; and Kirsty Ogg who runs Bloomberg New Contemporaries.
For the 12 people selected, the residency provides an opportunity to meet other practitioners from around the country, compare notes about recently leaving education and make plans for next steps. Hospitalfield also asks the selectors and others to come back and feed into the programme of discussions.
