FIELDWORK: Not Every Tent is the Same schedule details announced
Hospitalfield’s third annual International Summer School is programmed with artist Bisan Abu Eisheh and will take part between 4 and 6 July – tickets available online.
The programme draws upon the work of artists whose practice is a vehicle for their investigation of socio-political daily matters.
Not Every Tent is the Same is a quote from Um Saad (Mother of Saad), a novel written by the late Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani.
The programme over two and a half days will include contributions from artists who come from differing geographies and diverse backgrounds:
– Michael Rakowitz, the Iraqi/American artist now based in Chicago, will develop a workshop specifically for the programme and be there to discuss his work.
– Neil Cummings, UK artist and member of Critical Practice.
– Andrea Thal, the curator and her team at Contemporary Image Collective Cairo, Egypt.
– Joshua Brown, designer and activist from Glasgow.
– Kirsteen Macdonald and Curatorial Studio will be taking an active part in opening up and inspiring wider discussion amongst the participants.
Tickets cost £75 and include the programme, all meals and a place in the campsite.
