Close to Hospitalfield’s 20th century history, the Graduate Residency Programme brings together a group of recent graduates from Scotland for a two-week residency which enables the participants to make new work, new connections between approaches and a new network with which to build their own opportunities and support systems.
The 2017 Graduate Residents are Emma McCarthy, Emma Nellies and Rhona Jack from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Daniel Leyland and James St Findlay from the Edinburgh College of Art, Svetlana Panova and Donald Butler from Gray’s School of Art and Sofia Sefraoui, Rachel Sharpe, Daisy Chetwin, Adam Benmakhlouf and Richard Taylor from the Glasgow School of Art. You can read more about each artist here.
Eoin Dara, who is the Head of Exhibitions at Dundee Contemporary Arts, and Glasgow-based artist Winnie Herbstein carefully selected this year’s group of artists from a pool of over 90 applicants. The residency will run from 9-21 October.
